Hybrid Technology
In a hybrid vehicle a gas engine is used together with an electric motor to improve fuel economy. Energy normally wasted during braking and coasting are used to charge the battery. The electric motor is used to assist internal combustion engine during acceleration, low speed driving or hill climbing to compensate for the lesser efficiency of the internal engines in these type of situations.
